3 Easy On-the-Go Protein Shakes

3 Easy On-the-Go Protein Shakes - BlenderBottle

Protein typically comes in 5-pound tubs, and if you are like me, you get pretty tired of that particular tub's flavor by the time you've used it all up. To avoid this, I try to mix things up (pun intended) as much as possible using a variety of protein shake recipes. Many recipes, however, call for ingredients that won't stay fresh without a refrigerator a problem if you're always on the go. Here are three protein shake recipes I use when I know that I'm not going to be around a refrigerator for a few hours.

1. Chocolate Peanut Butter Protein Shake

Just add 3 tbsp. of powdered peanut butter to one serving of chocolate flavored protein powder and you're good to go. Even though the BlenderBottle handles regular peanut butter like a champ, I like using powdered peanut butter because it is much easier to clean up.

2. Banana Cream Pie Protein Shake

Just add 3 tbsp. of banana cream pie pudding mix to one serving of your vanilla-flavored protein powder and you're ready to rock and roll. If you're not much a fan of banana cream pie, try experimenting with other flavors of pudding mix.

3. Apple Spice Protein Shake

Add one packet of powdered apple cider mix to one serving of your vanilla protein powder. If you are feeling extra adventurous, add a few shakes of apple pie spice as well. The best thing about these recipes is that you can take all of the ingredients with you using the ProStak shaker cup or the GoStak container system. Simply load up the powders the night before, toss 'em in your gym bag or purse, and you're ready to go. What are your favorite on-the-go protein shake recipes? Sound off in the comments below.
