MAKE TIME FOR FITNESS

MAKE TIME FOR FITNESS - BlenderBottle

Staying healthy during the week can be complicated; it's easy to let work or school take over, forcing you to choose between fun or fitness. With a little planning and time management, however, keeping fit and healthy during the busy times is certainly achievable. Consider the following 3 tips to help you stay fit, work from 9:00 to 5:00, and leave time for yourself.

Make Time for the Gym

Morning, noon, or night - pick one and stick with it. Mornings are the preferred workout time for many (and for good reason). Get up early and hit the gym before you head to school or the office to start your day off with a great accomplishment. If you don't consider yourself a morning person, try out gym time during your lunch break. There is no better way to break up the day than to get out and break a sweat. Think evenings are best for you? There are several benefits to this as well, including aiding in a more restful night's sleep. Many gyms are open late to accommodate the night owl crowd.

Take Breaks During the Day

Sitting all day isn't just boring, it's unhealthy. Get up and take a walk, stroll through the halls, your neighborhood, or from one office to another. Small commitments to health pay off in big ways; taking a few extra steps throughout the day can help alleviate stress and keep your mind sharp.

Eat Healthy Snacks

When you're out for the day, eating healthy can be a challenge. Rather than leaving yourself vulnerable to the ever-present call of the vending machine, pack healthy snacks to tide you over when hunger hits. Healthy snacking every hour or two will help avoid cravings for junk food, keep your blood sugar steady, and help maintain energy.
