Do you spend most of the year looking forward to the holiday season? As soon as Thanksgiving is over, we all rock out to holiday tunes and turn our homes into Extreme Makeover: Holiday Edition. But this explosion of holiday cheer can have some unwanted consequences as well.
Did you know that people gain an average of five pounds between Thanksgiving and Christmas? Five pounds! Is it possible to be festive and celebrate without sacrificing all the healthy living progress you've made during the previous eleven months? Of course it is! There's nothing unhealthy about celebrating the holidays with friends and family. It's the massive quantities of starch- and sugar-laden foods that are the real problem.
"Aim to Maintain" Holiday Challenge
That's why we're so excited to work with CNNhealth diet and fitness expert Dr. Melina Jampolis this month. We're supporting her initiative that challenges people to maintain their pre-holiday weight throughout the holiday season. On January 15, Dr. Melina will select winners who will receive cash prizes and prize packages including - BlenderBottles!
