Have 20 minutes? You're stuck at home so we bet you do. We're also pretty sure you might be feeling frustrated by closed gyms and sold-out exercise equipment. Well you're in luck, friend. Our DIY workout straps and full-body training system is just the thing you need give your home workouts a boost. All it takes is about $20 worth of items you can pick up at any hardware store and 20 minutes of your time. Here's how.



How to Build a Full Body Training System

Build it in 20 minutes for as little as $20.

What you'll need

  • Hand saw

  • 3/4" x 4" PVC pipes x2

  • Tape measure

  • Lashing straps with cam buckles x3

  • Carabiner

  • Scissors


What you'll do

  1. Prepare long lashing strap

    • Trim any attachments from the ends off the long strap

    • Seal the cut edge to prevent fray

  2. Measure & cut two 4 1/2" sections of the PVC (these will be the handles)

  3. Feed the strap through the pipe

  4. Tie a simple overhand knot to form a handle (this is a permanent knot that won't slip)

  5. Trim excess material to use for next step

  6. Repeat for the other handle

  7. Loop strap through grip

  8. Seal the cut edge to prevent fray

  9. Repeat for the other handle

  10. Attach handle to long strap

  11. Mounting option 1: Door attachment setup

    • Cut a hole through a tennis ball

    • Wrap and tape strap to a screwdriver

    • Feed strap through tennis ball

    • Remove tape and screwdriver

  12. Mounting option 2: Attach carabiner for mounting points

  13. Loop the end through remaining cam buckle

  14. Adjust straps as needed
