TEAM BLENDERBOTTLE ROCKED THE RED ROCK!

TEAM BLENDERBOTTLE ROCKED THE RED ROCK! - BlenderBottle

186 miles. 29 hours. 12 runners. 2.5 hours of sleep...

Yeah Baby!

That pretty much sums up the weekend for the twelve of us on Team BlenderBottle. It rocked. All our training paid off this weekend as we hit the pavement and pushed ourselves to run harder, faster, and farther. I'm going to go ahead and speak for the whole team: it was awesome.

For those of you not familiar with the RRR, lemme give you the lowdown:

Teams are split into two smaller teams: Snow and Sun. The Snow Team started off the race at the top of Brian Head Ski Resort in Southern Utah at 7:05 AM Friday. After everyone on the Snow teams has completed their legs, we (the Sun team) take over and run ours. When we're done they start their second leg, and so on. We alternated back and forth until everyone had completed their three assigned legs and we crossed finish line in Zions National Park on Saturday.

29 hours of pure adrenaline is great, but lemme tell ya - once it wears off, your muscles want to kill you. I'm feeling much better now, but Saturday evening - after a 3.5 hour drive home - I could barely get out of my car! I think I've been inspired to write a stretching techniques post for the next Fitness Tip of the Week.

Be sure to check out our Facebook page for photos of the event, and check out our YouTube channel in a couple of weeks for a highlight reel of the race!
